Ante Up Poker Tour and Player of the Year events

The Ante Up Poker Tour features up to 12 tour stops each year, all featuring a schedule, structures and buy-ins unique to the region where the event is held but with one thing in common - the winner of each main event is featured on the cover of Ante Up Magazine! As an added bonus for Ante Up Poker Tour players, all events at each tour stop qualify for Ante Up's Player of the Year race, giving players of all bankrolls an opportunity to move up on our leaderboard.

Four States Poker Championship
May 17-26, 2013
Quapaw, Oklahoma

For the first four years Downstream Casino Resort has hosted the Four States Poker Championship, it has offered a wide variety of events, including no-limit hold’em, pot-limit Omaha, stud, razz, Omaha/8 and H.O.R.S.E. During the series, players will earn points based on how high they place in each event in a race to become the event’s “Master of Poker.”

The Ante Up Poker Tour World Championship will feature 15 events during the week, culminating with a two-day $1,100 main event. In addition to no-limit hold’em, two no-limit hold’em/pot-limit Omaha combo events and no-limit bounty event are on the schedule, as is one rebuy event. Single-table main-event satellites will be offered. Ante Up has negotiated deeply discounted, all-inclusive hotel rates for this event.

Points

The top 10 cashers in each event win points based on their finish. Events are weighted to take into account buy-in amount and field size:

Here is the formula:
=10*(SQRT(x)/SQRT(y))*(1+LOG(z +0.25))
where "x" is the number of players, "y" is the player's finish and "z" is the buy-in amount.

Ante Up does not staff every Ante Up Player of the Year points qualifying event, but makes every effort to get complete results from the host property. However, Ante Up is not responsible for incomplete or unreceived results. Players are encouraged to remind the host locations to submit complete results to Ante Up to ensure they receive their points.
