John Dolan is Ante Up's 2012 Player of the Year

John Dolan of Biloxi, Miss., is Ante Up's 2012 Player of the Year.

Dolan was the only player to earn points in four qualifying events in 2012, winning the Million Dollar Heater main event at Beau Rivage in January, finishing runner-up in the World Poker Tour Seminole Hard Rock Showdown main event at Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood in April and making final tables in the World Series of Poker Circuit main event at IP Biloxi and the World Poker Open main event at Gold Strike Resort.

Dolan earned 1,906 Player of the Year points, nearly 300 more than runner-up Aaron Massey of Elmwood Park, Ill.

The 2013 Ante Up Player of the Year race begins Jan. 12 with main event of the World Series of Poker Circuit at Bicycle Casino in Bell Gardens, Calif. More than 300 qualifying events are expected during the year, including all events at each Ante Up Poker Tour stop, the main events of major tournament series hosted by Ante Up partners, all multitable tournaments on Ante Up Cruises and any tournament that offers an Ante Up Cruise or Ante Up Poker Tour World Championship event package as a prize.
